'Another Self'

Self-perception is an elusive and ever-changing construct. The idea that one’s sense of self is not something fixed and stable, but rather a constantly shifting reflection of cultural narratives, societal expectations, and, increasingly, our interactions with technology, is widely accepted. This state of flux, however, introduces a tension: how does this fleeting, constantly evolving nature of self-perception shape how we view ourselves, moment to moment? In ‘Another Self,’ Night Café presents the works of Johannes Bosisio and Sian Fan, two artists who navigate this very intersection—where identity is continuously molded by external forces, and where the transient nature of perception itself becomes a transformative force on the self.
